Summary of Production and Sales of Small Gasoline Engine Power in 2023
A statistical survey conducted by the Small Gasoline Engine Branch of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association on 71 complete machine manufacturers among its member units shows that:
The cumulative production of small gasoline engines in 2023 is about 33.5054 million units, a year-on-year decrease of about 3.82%;
The sales volume was about 33.3694 million units, a year-on-year decrease of about 3.95%;
The export volume is about 25.451 million units, a year-on-year decrease of about 8.97%, and the export proportion is about 76.27%;
Domestic sales were approximately 7.9185 million units, a year-on-year increase of approximately 16.72%, with domestic sales accounting for approximately 23.73%.
The production of small gasoline engines in China has been continuously increasing from 2000 to 2014, fluctuating since 2015. After experiencing a peak in 2021 and a significant decline in 2022, production and sales will return to near 2020 levels in 2023.
