According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, China's total import and export value for the first seven months of 2024 was 34950.41 billion US dollars, an increase of 3.5%. Among them, exports amounted to 2006.521 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.0%; Imports reached 1.48852 trillion US dollars, an increase of 2.8%; The trade surplus is 518.02 billion US dollars.
Lv Daliang, Director of the Statistics and Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs, said: "Since the beginning of this year, China's economy has been generally stable and making progress, and foreign trade has maintained a stable and positive trend. In the first seven months, China's import and export scale reached a new historical high for the same period, with both year-on-year and month on month growth in July. The monthly year-on-year growth rate of import and export has remained above 5% for four consecutive months.

According to data compiled by the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export volume of the internal combustion engine industry from January to July 2024 was 18.978 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 3.80%. Among them, imports were 5.348 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 7.09%, and exports were 13.63 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 2.56%.
In terms of import value, other types of internal combustion engines decreased year-on-year, while other types showed growth, with a significant decrease in other types of internal combustion engines. Specifically, from January to July 2024, diesel engine imports amounted to 940 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 38.36%; Gasoline engine imports amounted to 267 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 0.62%; The import of other types of complete machines reached 1.266 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -19.14%; The import of internal combustion engine components reached 2.417 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 11.87%; The import of generator sets reached 457 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 41.91%.
In terms of export value, except for the year-on-year decrease in other categories of complete machines and generator sets, all other sub categories increased year-on-year. Specifically, from January to July 2024, diesel engine exports amounted to 762 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 1.10%; Gasoline engine exports amounted to 1.244 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 40.70%; The export of other types of complete machines reached 1.395 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -6.25%; The export of internal combustion engine components reached 7.379 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 7.01%; The export of generator sets reached 2.85 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -12.80%.
