As a global provider of intelligent power solutions, Foton Cummins is a joint venture between American independent diesel engine manufacturer Cummins and Chinese commercial vehicle company Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. in a 50:50 ratio. The company mainly produces light, medium, and heavy-duty diesel engines and natural gas engines. Its headquarters is located in Changping District, Beijing, with over 1600 employees and 601 patents. In January 2020, Foton Cummins, as a global benchmark enterprise for Industry 4.0, was officially selected as a global lighthouse factory at the Davos Forum. In 2021, it was selected as a demonstration factory for intelligent manufacturing of automotive engines by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.
