Simultaneous Event | Establishing a New Navigation Standard for Internal Combustion Engine Energy Efficiency Star and Creating the "Internal Combustion Engine Product Energy Efficiency Assessment (ICE-EEA)" Brand Activity
In order to actively respond to the requirements of national energy conservation and emission reduction policies, proposed by Shanghai Motor Vehicle Testing and Certification Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association actively carried out the significant "Internal Combustion Engine Product Energy Efficiency Evaluation (ICE-EEA)" activity (a voluntary evaluation activity) at the Yizhuang Feng International Hotel in Beijing on the morning of October 10th.
This event strictly follows the principles of science, fairness, and transparency, and develops a testing outline based on national standards and association group standards. As a third-party testing organization, Shanghai Motor Vehicle Testing and Certification Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. provides a solid data foundation for energy efficiency evaluation with its rigorous professional capabilities and testing methods.
The "Energy Efficiency Star" products selected in the event are undoubtedly a new benchmark for energy efficiency in the internal combustion engine industry. The first batch of three companies, Shanghai New Power Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Changfa Agricultural Equipment Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., have shown outstanding performance in their related products. While meeting emission and performance requirements, their energy efficiency has reached level 1, earning them the title of "Energy Efficiency Star". Additionally, their highest effective thermal efficiency has significantly improved, reaching 43.32% (non road use), 42.11% (non road use), and 45.57% (heavy-duty vehicle use), respectively.
This evaluation activity has generated strong industry leadership, promoting active participation of enterprises in energy efficiency improvement actions, motivating enterprises to increase research and development investment, adopt international advanced management methods and standards, and promote the improvement of management capabilities and high-quality development of internal combustion engine and component products in the industry. At the same time, the event recommends industry benchmark enterprises and products to the public and government, encourages the adoption of association evaluation results, which will encourage enterprises to pay more attention to energy efficiency in research and development, business, and services, provide more high-quality and high-energy products to the market, and guide the industry towards green, low-carbon, and sustainable development.
During the certification process, Mr. Qian Hengrong, President of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, Mr. Xing Min, Executive Vice President and Secretary General, and Mr. Shen Jianping, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shanghai Motor Vehicle Testing and Certification Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., presented the "Energy Efficiency Star" certificates to the three certified enterprises on stage.
The energy efficiency evaluation of products from other enterprises is continuously being promoted. This activity is expected to drive more enterprises to join the ranks of energy efficiency improvement, further promoting the energy-saving and emission reduction process of the internal combustion engine industry, and achieving the transformation and upgrading of the industry. The successful launch of the first "Internal Combustion Engine Industry Product Energy Efficiency Assessment (ICE-EEA)" activity this year, as a milestone, is down-to-earth, not forgetting the original intention, establishing a new navigation mark and benchmark for internal combustion engine energy efficiency, gradually building the ICE-EEA brand, cultivating and strengthening new quality productivity in the industry, and its influence will continue to emerge in the future.
