On November 6, 2024, the fifth meeting of the eighth council of the Small Power Equipment Branch of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi. A total of 58 guests, including association leaders, branch council members, and secretariat staff, attended the meeting, with a council attendance rate of 98%. The conference invited Mr. Xing Min, Executive Vice President of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, to provide guidance and deliver an important speech. Mr. Bai Fuqiang, Director of the Small Power Equipment Branch of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Chairman Bai Fuqiang mentioned that the goal of green and low-carbon development is profoundly affecting the development and transformation of the small power equipment industry. This year coincides with a crucial year for the goals and tasks of the 14th Five Year Plan. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the industry will face unfavorable external environments, adjust its strength, and carry out deep reforms. With a steady attitude, it will actively layout fuel diversification, product lightweighting, and mechanical energy conservation. In order to better serve its members, the branch changed its name from "Small Gasoline Engine Branch" to "Small Power Equipment Branch" in June. In the future, the industry will actively implement the dual carbon strategy, develop a new generation of small power machinery that is more efficient, low-carbon, and nearly zero emission, and form new advantages for industrial development.

Vice President Xing Min pointed out in his speech that the overall economic performance of the internal combustion engine industry has improved this year, showing a growth trend. The 14th Five Year Plan has played a crucial role in the development of the industry, and industry enterprises should also attach importance to the plan and solidly promote the progress of products and technologies. I hope that the industry will continue to make breakthroughs in all aspects under the guidance of standards. I also hope that everyone can analyze the difficulties and experiences of foreign trade at this council meeting, and strive to provide better support for the industry. I wish this council a complete success.

Secretary General Ding Qianlan of the Small Power Equipment Branch of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association reported to the conference on the proposal for the branch's key work plan for 2025, and introduced the "Implementation of the 14th Five Year Plan for the Small Power Equipment Industry and the Compilation Explanation of the 15th Five Year Plan" around industry overview, regulatory environment, goals and key tasks of the 14th Five Year Plan, progress of core indicators of the plan, and the compilation explanation of the 15th Five Year Plan.

The attending guests had extensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions on the current operation status of our unit in 2024, the development situation during the 14th Five Year Plan period, the development trends and priorities during the 15th Five Year Plan period, and suggestions for the work plan of the branch in 2025. Through discussion, everyone has gained a clearer understanding of the current status and development trends of the industry, and has also put forward effective suggestions for the problems encountered in the process of industrial transformation and upgrading.

The journey is full of wind and strength, and we set off again with a heavy responsibility. Chairman Bai Fuqiang pointed out in the summary of the meeting that he hopes everyone can continue to support the work of the association in the future.
