Yuchai launches K14N/K15N products

In the past two years, natural gas heavy-duty trucks have become a new incremental market in the commercial vehicle field, with product sales soaring and showing a comprehensive explosive trend. Data shows that from January to November 2024, more than 160000 natural gas heavy-duty trucks were sold in China, especially in the tractor segment market, where the penetration rate of gas heavy-duty trucks reached as high as 70% at one point. At the same time, driven by terminal demand, gas heavy-duty trucks have broken through traditional regional limitations and expanded to a wider geographical range. The market demand for complex road conditions and high load scenarios has become prominent, giving rise to a strong demand for high-power gas vehicles from users.

Faced with the constantly evolving gas heavy-duty truck market, Yuchai Machinery and Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle jointly launched the Dongfeng Tianlong KX/KL Yuchai gas new product. Among them, Dongfeng Tianlong KX gas vehicle focuses on medium and long-distance transportation demand with 570 horsepower, while Dongfeng Tianlong KL gas vehicle meets the demand for bulk cargo transportation with 540 horsepower.

It is reported that Yuchai K14N/K15N products have significantly improved their reliability by 50% by adopting advanced technologies such as the first domestic application of "reverse flow" cooling technology and the industry's highest tensile strength cylinder head material. With patented anti icing thermal management technology, Yuchai engines can easily start even at temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius, creating the world's best level of natural starting for gas engines at extreme low temperatures. While maintaining high reliability, it also has the lowest gas consumption performance in the industry, with an average gas consumption 6% lower than competitors per 100 kilometers. Based on an annual mileage of 200000 kilometers, it can save nearly 20000 yuan in fuel costs.

Yuchai S04/S06 made its debut

At the annual meeting, Yuchai's star fuel engine products S04 and S06 were also unveiled simultaneously, mainly mounted on Dongfeng Tianjin VR/KC dump trucks.

As the king of domestic engines, Yuchai S platform integrates intelligence, environmental protection, and high efficiency genes, and is currently the largest medium-sized engine platform in the Chinese market. Among them, S04 is a product of Yuchai that applies the new National VI technology. With outstanding differentiation characteristics such as strong power, low fuel consumption, and high reliability, it has always maintained a leading market share and product strength. It adopts efficient combustion technology, with stronger explosive power and a maximum power of 240 horsepower; It has the performance of low-speed and high torque, with a maximum torque of 850 Newton meters. It can run fast even with many installations. By identifying the most commonly used working conditions of cardholders and accurately calibrating the fuel economy working range of the engine, it can better meet the needs of intercity logistics and engineering self dumping markets.

The Yuchai S06 engine has core advantages such as strong power, excellent economy, and good comfort, and can cover multiple segmented markets such as Greenway, express delivery, and cold chain. Yuchai S06 has a power coverage of 200-300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1200 Newton meters. It is reported that this engine adopts a third-generation low inertia turbocharger, which improves low-speed response by 20% to 30% and maximum torque by 5%, comparable to the upgraded models in the industry; At the same time, its application of efficient combustion technology and advanced thermal management technology has reduced the fuel consumption of the entire vehicle by 0.5-1 liter per 100 kilometers compared to similar models; 60000 kilometers long maintenance cycle, time-saving and worry free.
