Since 2018, Yuchai has invested nearly 3 billion yuan to synchronously carry out intelligent upgrading and transformation of the new generation of National VI production lines, and has built a digital intelligent factory that fully applies 5G technology, digital monitoring of the entire management center process, and automation of the entire engine process. After the smart factory was put into operation, the finished product manufacturing rate of Yuchai engine increased significantly. One engine can achieve qualified production and successfully go offline in 12 hours, shortening the production cycle by 80%.

Compared to traditional workshops that require a large amount of manual labor for precision machining production processes, the Yuchai Guoliu production line has achieved intelligent production of engines throughout the entire process through digital empowerment. The cylinder hole machining accuracy can reach 1 micron, far exceeding the domestic average level. Workers' production labor intensity has been reduced by more than 90%, and manufacturing efficiency has been improved by more than 50%.

With the support of advanced manufacturing capabilities, in recent years, Yuchai has successfully launched a series of innovative products such as the world's first hybrid electric drive continuously variable transmission powertrain and China's first commercial vehicle hydrogen engine, leading China's power equipment towards high-end, intelligent, and green development. At present, Yuchai's products have covered nearly a hundred segmented markets such as trucks, buses, construction machinery, ships, and power generation equipment, becoming a true "power supermarket".
