According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export value of China in the first four months of 2025 was 1.96937 trillion US dollars, an increase of 1.3%. Among them, exports reached $1169.06 billion, an increase of 6.4%; Imports amounted to 800.31 billion US dollars, an increase of -5.2%; The trade surplus was 368.76 billion US dollars, and foreign trade continued its steady growth trend.

Specifically in the internal combustion engine industry, there has been a slight increase in import and export performance, with export growth exceeding imports.

According to data compiled by the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export volume of the internal combustion engine industry from January to April 2025 was 12.089 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.44%. Among them, imports were 3.076 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -4.97%, and exports were 9.013 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 15.11%.

1、 In terms of import value, diesel engines and other types of internal combustion engines increased year-on-year, while all other types decreased, with a significant decrease in gasoline engines. Specifically:

Diesel engine imports amounted to 534 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 2.62%;

Gasoline engine imports amounted to 104 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -26.65%;

The import of other types of complete machines reached 753 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 12.28%;

The import of internal combustion engine components reached 1.448 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -11.73%;

The import of generator sets reached 237 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -10.09%.

2、 In terms of export value, diesel engines and gasoline engines decreased year-on-year, while other sub types increased year-on-year. Specifically:

Diesel engine exports amounted to 420 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 6.42%;

Gasoline engine exports reached 683 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -4.72%;

The export of other types of complete machines reached 1.08 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 45.49%;

The export of internal combustion engine components reached 4.805 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.35%;

The export of generator sets reached 2.025 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 34.32%.
