Industry News | The special planning exchange meeting for the development plan of the internal combustion engine industry during the 15th Five Year Plan period was successfully held
On June 27, 2025, a special planning exchange meeting for the "15th Five Year Plan" development of the internal combustion engine industry (referred to as the "Plan") was successfully held in Hai'an, Jiangsu. Leaders, experts from 20 special plans, as well as Xing Min, Executive Vice President of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, Jia Bin, Secretary General, Peng Deping, Deputy Secretary General, and Ji Weibin, totaling more than 40 people, attended the meeting to jointly contribute to the preparation of the "15th Five Year Plan" development plan. The meeting was chaired by Shen Bin, Deputy Secretary General of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association.
Firstly, Xing Min, Executive Vice President of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, delivered a speech, providing guidance and requirements for the compilation work. Emphasizing the significance of planning and preparation work, it is required that the preparation work should be carried out in accordance with the integration of policies, markets, and technologies, and promote the continuous transformation and upgrading of the industry.
Next, we will enter the planning and communication stage. Firstly, Shen Bin, Deputy Secretary General of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, will introduce the market, operation, and technological innovation of the industry during the 14th Five Year Plan period, as well as the trends, problems, future development opportunities, challenges, and work priorities of the planning process. Subsequently, the 20 specialized planning teams introduced their respective industry reviews, the work carried out in the planning, the main content of the planning, as well as relevant suggestions and opinions. Finally, Professor Yao Mingfa from Tianjin University, the leading group for planning and formulation, proposed new requirements, suggestions, and opinions for the planning and formulation.
Through this exchange meeting, the expected goals were achieved, including horizontal and vertical exchanges in the industry, exchanges between hosts and components, exchanges between enterprises and universities, and ultimately, the market, technical routes, professional skills, planning, and key work of each special plan are consistent and mutually supportive. Mutual learning and reference lay the foundation for the high-quality completion of the "15th Five Year Plan" development plan for the internal combustion engine industry.
