According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, China's total import and export value for the first seven months of 2025 was 3577.21 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.4%. Among them, exports amounted to 21303.6 billion US dollars, an increase of 6.1%; Imports amounted to 1446.85 billion US dollars, an increase of -2.7%; The trade surplus was 683.51 billion US dollars, and foreign trade continued its steady growth trend.

Spokesperson for the General Administration of Customs, Lv Daliang, stated that since the beginning of this year, various regions and departments have actively taken action and overcome difficulties in accordance with the central government's decision-making and deployment. China's economic operation has been stable with progress, and facing a complex external environment, foreign trade has maintained an upward trend.

Specifically in the internal combustion engine industry, the total import and export volume showed a slight increase in the first seven months, with a slight year-on-year decrease in imports; The export has increased year-on-year, and the growth rate has remained at a level of 10% to 15%.

According to data compiled by the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export volume of the internal combustion engine industry from January to July 2026 was 22.16 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.47%. Among them, imports were 5.827 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -2.21%, and exports were 16.333 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 14.33%.

1、 In terms of import value, diesel engines, other types of internal combustion engines, and generator sets increased year-on-year, while all other types decreased, with a significant decrease in gasoline engines. Specifically:

Diesel engine imports amounted to 1.035 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 10.05%;

Gasoline engine imports amounted to 211 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 20.78%;

The import of other types of complete machines reached 1.345 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 5.36%;

The import of internal combustion engine components reached 2.736 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.37%;

The import of generator sets reached 501 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.50%.

2、 In terms of export value, diesel engines and gasoline engines decreased year-on-year, while other sub types increased year-on-year. Specifically:

Diesel engine exports amounted to 751 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -1.45%;

Gasoline engine exports amounted to 1.174 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 5.56%;

The export of other types of complete machines reached 2.026 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 45.34%;

The export of internal combustion engine components reached 8.629 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 7.36%;

The export of generator sets reached 3.753 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 31.73%.
