According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export value of China in the first ten months of 2025 was 5204.596 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.7%. Among them, exports amounted to 3084.707 billion US dollars, an increase of 5.3%; Imports reached 2119.888 billion US dollars, an increase of -0.9%; The trade surplus was 964.819 billion US dollars, and foreign trade continued to grow steadily.

The spokesperson of the General Administration of Customs and the Director of the Statistics and Analysis Department stated that overall, the steady growth trend of China's foreign trade has not changed. In the first 10 months, China's foreign trade has continued to expand in scale and optimize in structure, and the goal of stabilizing the quality and quantity of foreign trade for the whole year is expected to be achieved.  

Specifically in the internal combustion engine industry, the total import and export volume for the first ten months showed a year-on-year increase, with imports showing a slight year-on-year growth; Exports have increased year-on-year, and the growth rate has remained above 10%.

According to data compiled by the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export volume of the internal combustion engine industry from January to October 2025 was 31.906 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 8.81%. Among them, imports were 8.692 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 2.61%, and exports were 23.214 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 11.33%.

1、 In terms of import value, diesel engines, other types of internal combustion engines, and generator sets increased year-on-year, while other types decreased, with a significant decrease in gasoline engines. Specifically:

Diesel engine imports amounted to 1.51 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 16.36%;

Gasoline engine imports amounted to 297 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -28.40%;

The import of other types of complete machines reached 1.943 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 6.87%;

The import of internal combustion engine components reached 4.144 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -3.08%;

The import of generator sets reached 798 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 20.09%.

2、 In terms of export value, diesel engines and gasoline engines decreased year-on-year, while other sub types increased year-on-year. Specifically:

Diesel engine exports amounted to 1.055 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 6.42%;

Gasoline engine exports amounted to 1.72 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -1.92%;

The export of other types of complete machines reached 2.807 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 33.15%;

The export of internal combustion engine components reached 12.197 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 5.63%;

The export of generator sets reached 5.436 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 25.96%.
