The Weichai hydrogen internal combustion engine generator set that was connected to the grid this time has landed in the Wuxi Huaguang Huaneng Microgrid Demonstration Project. This project is an industrial level demonstration project of integrated source, grid, load and storage. Weichai units, as the core unit of microgrids, play a key role in efficient conversion of hydrogen energy and stable supply of green electricity.

The unit is used in conjunction withWP13 Hydrogen Internal Combustion EngineCustomized development by Weichai and Wuxi Huaguang Environmental Energy has successfully solved common industry problems such as limited output power and speed fluctuations caused by unstable hydrogen combustion. The product's speed fluctuations are precisely controlled within ± 3r/min, fully meeting the strict requirements of grid connected power generation with high stability. It has opened up the key link for on-site consumption of industrial by-product hydrogen and provided solid technical support for the high-quality construction of local zero carbon parks.

This successful grid connection has enabled Weichai's hydrogen internal combustion engine generator set to build a full chain green energy application model for customers, including hydrogen energy conversion, clean power generation, and grid connected consumption, providing a replicable practical sample for the commercial application of hydrogen power generation.
